I am currently a full time Breast and oncoplastic surgeon at the world renowned Edinburgh Cancer Centre where I am also actively involved with surgical teaching with the University of Edinburgh. I am the lead tutor for the Edinburgh ChM masters course in Surgery teaching surgical trainees from around the world. I am an invited member of the teaching faculty in Critical Care for Surgeons at the Hong Kong College of Surgeons. In recognition of this teaching I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgical Trainers. I am a previous recipient of The Faculty of Conflict and Catastrophe National Medicine Prize 2008 for work carried out as a volunteer medic at the Bairo Pite clinic in East Timor. I am actively involved in many facets of breast cancer research encompassing surgery, imaging and screening and have presented my work extensively around the world and have published over 30 times in international journals. This work continues as in investigator in a number of international clinical trials.
