Mr. William Nicholas Allen

I am a Consultant based at St Michael’s Clinic (BUPA) in Shrewsbury, as well as Cheshire Lasers and Freyja Medical (Cheshire, Wrexham, Shrewsbury). I have over 10 years of surgical experience within the NHS, including previously leading facial trauma reconstruction services. 

My specialty is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and my areas of practice and medico-legal cover primarily include:

• Skin cancer of the head and neck (diagnosis, management, and reconstruction)
• Delayed diagnosis and treatment of skin malignancy
• Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery
• Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and periocular procedures, including complications
• Facial trauma (mandible, zygoma, orbital fractures)
• Facial nerve and trigeminal nerve injury (including inferior alveolar and lingual nerve injury)
• Scarring, asymmetry, and cosmetic outcome assessment

As well as, secondarily:

• dental and surgical complications within oral and maxillofacial practice
• head and neck pathology and oncological pathways

I understand my duty to the Court under the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35, and am available for screening reports, advisory reports, and full instructions for claimant and defendant solicitors in both clinical negligence and personal injury cases.

I aim to provide clear, independent, and responsive medico-legal opinion with swift turnaround of reports where possible, and will accept deferred payment for Legal Aid funded cases.
