I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Trust in Aintree, with a Specialist Interest in Lower Limb Surgery/Trauma including Sports Injuries. 

Trauma experience includes general spinal injuries assessment including fractures /whiplash/soft tissue injuries. Specialist interests in trauma include complex knee, and lower limb injuries. I also see general upper and lower limb trauma and prepare medicolegal reports for all common injuries of the limbs and spine.

Elective surgery includes knee joint replacements, soft tissue ligament reconstruction and revision knee surgery. Specialising in knee surgery including sports injuries and Trauma including complex lower limb trauma.

Medicolegal Expert'

I have been preparing medicolegal reports since 2006 and provide 200 + reports a year. To date I have prepared thousands of medicolegal orthopaedic reports including clinical negligence and high value personal injury claims.

My medico-legal experience includes upper and lower limb trauma and spinal injuries including soft tissue injuries including whiplash. Complex lower limb injuries including hip, knee, foot and ankle injuries and major trauma are also within my expertise.

My main specialism for clinical negligence and defendant work is Lower Limb Injury, General Orthopaedics and Trauma/multiple trauma and Knee Surgery.

I have been providing clinical negligence reports both Breach of Duty/Causation and Condition/Prognosis reports since 2006 and provided 75 plus reports per year.

I understand my duties to the Court in adherence to the Civil Procedure Rules part 35 and have attended an Expert Witness Seminar – A Pathway to Excellence for Expert Witnesses in Personal Injury 12th Feb 2026, by Richard Edwards of Richard Edwards & Co Solicitors and Advocates, Catastrophic Injury Lawyer of the Year 2023 , and Board of Governors at the Expert Witness Institute.
