Prof. Vinod Menon is a highly experienced Consultant laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal & obesity surgeon and cancer specialist working in Coventry, Warwickshire and in Leamington Spa. He has carried out over 1350 bariatric / metabolic (weight loss) procedures, over 900 laparoscopic hiatus hernia repairs and anti-reflux procedures, over 1000 laparoscopic gall bladder removals, as well as over 400 oesophageal and gastric cancer resections with excellent outcomes.
Prof. Menon is Past President of British Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) having served previously as Treasurer & Honorary Secretary. He also served as member of council of Association of Upper GI Surgery of Great Britain & Ireland (AUGIS). Prof Menon serves as Director of West Midlands Surgical Training Centre and as Honorary Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick. He has published widely in academic journals, actively engaged as Principal Investigator of research trials and is a member of the court of examiners for the Intercollegiate Board examination in General Surgery.
Prof. Menon is very experienced in theory & practice of medical management, having served as Clinical Director for 11 years leading a large surgical division in a University teaching hospital in the UK, with several local, regional and national roles and responsibilities

Commenced medicolegal work in 2020, completes 10-12 reports annually, my claim / def ratio is 1:1.
Completed the Bond Solon course on Excellence in Report Writing – Written Evidence (May 2019) and produced expert reports based on specific instruction from solicitors, Ombudsman and Trusts.
