Mr Parv Sains is an experienced Consultant General Surgeon. He undertakes claimant and defendant instructions for medical negligence, including screening and preliminary reports as well as full (for court) reports on breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis.
Medicolegal work is undertaken through his company, Peritus Medicolegal, who guarantee:

His Special interests include: General and Laparoscopic Surgery including Inguinal Hernia, Ventral Hernia, umbilical and paraumbilical hernia, Incisional Hernia, Femoral Hernia Surgery, Emergency Abdominal Surgery including Appendectomy, Major Bowel Resection, Stoma, Coloproctology including Haemorrhoid and Fistula, Fissure, THD (Transanal Haemorrhoidal Dearterialisation), HALO (Haemorrhoidal Artery Ligation Operation) Surgery, Colon Cancer and Inflammatory Bowel Surgery.
His clinical interests include:
• Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery
• General Surgical procedures such as hernia repair, both open and laparoscopically, excision of minor skin lesions and 'lumps and
bumps' surgery both under general and local anaesthetic
• Performing operations for colorectal cancer and operations for benign diseases of the colon both open and laparoscopically. He also undertakes a wide variety of proctology procedures
• Undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy
Mr Sains is regularly instructed in medicolegal cases and has been since 2015. He has been instructed as an Expert Witness in over 30 cases, acting for both Claimants and Defendants. He has experience of preparing short-screening reports, full court reports, condition and prognosis reports and has taken part in joint expert meetings. Mr Sains has been the Safety and Quality Governance Lead and a Medical Examiner at a Major Teaching Hospital and currently holds the post of Medicolegal Lead for the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI).
Mr Sains is Bond Solon certified having attained the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate.
