Dr Gauhar Sharih is a Consultant in Anaesthesia based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham a position he has held since 2005.

He has special interests in;

• Obstetric anaesthesia
• Gynaecological anaesthesia
• Regional Anaesthesia
• Difficult Airways/ENT/Max Fax anaesthesia
• Urological anaesthesia
• Anaesthesia for General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery and Infertility treatment
• Resuscitation: Advanced Life Support (ALS) Course Medical Director and Instructor
• Sports medicine: Formerly on British Boxing Board of Control’s panel of Doctors to officiate at Boxing events

He commenced Medico-Legal work in 2025 after completing a Clinical Negligence Medico-Legal course organised by Specialistinfo in 2022.
