Details

Miss Victoria Asfour is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a recognised sub-specialist interest in urogynaecology. She is based at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where she is Urogynaecology Lead, Gynaecology Research Lead, and Perinatal Pelvic Health Lead. With nearly 20 years of continuous NHS experience and appointment as a consultant since 2020, she is highly regarded for her clinical expertise and leadership in women’s health.

Alongside her clinical commitments, Miss Asfour provides medico-legal expert witness services in obstetrics, gynaecology, and urogynaecology. Since 2022, she has completed over 40 expert witness reports, instructed in clinical negligence claims, personal injury cases, and complex women’s health disputes. She accepts instructions from claimant, defendant, and as a single joint expert. Trained by Bond Solon and the Expert Witness Institute in medico-legal report writing and courtroom skills, her reports are clear, evidence-based, and CPR-compliant.

Consultations can be arranged at her private clinics in Harley Street, London and the Sussex Premier Hospital, Hastings. Standard report turnaround is 4–6 weeks, with an expedited service available on request.

 

Miss Asfour’s medico-legal expertise spans:

 

  • Obstetrics: labour ward management, caesarean section outcomes, maternal consent, perinatal outcomes, birth injury, obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASI), and stillbirth.

 

  • Gynaecology: laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ovarian pathology, intra-operative and postoperative complications, and surgical consent issues.

 

  • Urogynaecology: pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence (including mesh and non-mesh procedures), reconstructive vaginal surgery, pelvic floor ultrasound, urodynamic investigations, and complications of prolapse or continence surgery.

Appointed Consultant in 2020, she leads Urogynaecology, Gynaecology Research, and Perinatal Pelvic Health at East Sussex NHS Trust, with expertise across women’s health.
