Dr. Maurizio Fuschi

Dr Maurizio Fuschi is an experienced Consultant in Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology with over 10 years of NHS clinical practice. He is experienced in all areas of Diagnostic Neuroradiology with a subspecialty focus in Interventional Neuroradiology. He is responsible for reporting complex Neuroradiological CT/MRI and angiogram scans and neuro trauma imaging. He chairs multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) and he’s peer reviewer.

Dr Fuschi undertakes independent medico-legal services, bringing a wealth of diagnostic expertise and specialist imaging knowledge to the legal field. Committed to delivering impartial, clearly reasoned reports in accordance with CPR Part 35 requirements. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication style suited to expert witness work.

Areas of expertise includes:
- Expert in procedures of interventional neuroradiology, i.e. mechanical thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke, endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysm, AVM and dural AV fistula
- Neuroradiological imaging interpretation (MRI, CT, angiography)
- Diagnostic accuracy, missed or delayed diagnoses
- Head trauma, stroke, and neurovascular pathology
- Imaging standards of care and clinical governance
- Causation, prognosis, and breach of duty analysis

Dr Fuschi currently accepting instructions as a medical expert witness in the field of Interventional and Diagnostic Neuroradiology. Open to instructions from claimant, defendant, or as a single joint expert. He is available to provide independent opinion on matters involving neuroradiological imaging, diagnostic accuracy, and clinical standards of care. Fully compliant with CPR Part 35 and associated procedural rules He has undertaken specialist Medico-legal report writing training with the Expert Witness Institute (EWI).
