Michael Parry is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, specialising in orthopaedic oncology and primary and revision lower limb arthroplasty. 

He is an experienced and trusted medical expert with a specialist focus on cases of medical negligence involving orthopaedic trauma. With a strong orthopaedic background, he offers authoritative insights and detailed assessments in complex cases, particularly those involving injuries and complication relating to orthopaedic practice. 

He regularly prepares reports detailing condition and prognosis following injury relating to trauma. He is a clinical expert in the management of amputee’s and practices as part of the Birmingham Amputee Clinic. This extensive clinical experience is invaluable when giving opinion in relation to severe injury where amputation has been required or recommended. 

Michael has written medico legal reports for over 8 years. With a specialist interest in bone and joint infection, bone and soft tissue tumours, amputations and primary and revision arthroplasty. He has provided personal injury reports on whiplash, orthopaedic injury and major trauma on average totalling 100 cases per year. He undertakes clinical negligence and causation reports averaging 6-10 cases per year. Michael has attended courses on report writing and court appearances. 

His other specialist interests include primary orthopaedic cancers (sarcoma), metastatic bone disease and arthroplasty of the hip and knee, areas in which he brings both depth of knowledge and a commitment to clarity and precision in expert reporting. He provides expert opinion in relation to areas of practice where delay in diagnosis or negligence may have occurred.
