Dr. Guy Hagan

Dr Guy Hagan is a Respiratory Consultant based in the West Midlands. He is a certified expert witness in both personal injury and clinical negligence work relevant to adult respiratory medicine. 

A full time NHS consultant, Dr Hagan undertakes approximately 15 reports/year. An expert witness since 2021 with an approx 70/30% mix for claimant and defence for clinical negligence (personal injury almost exclusively claimant). He is also happy to receive coronial instructions.

Dr Hagan has specialist training, obtaining the Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate (Civil Law) 2020 and undertakes regular medicolegal CPD.

Expertise in most aspects of respiratory medicine, including the following:
• Asthma/COPD
• Bronchiectasis
• Inhalation injury
• Interstitial and occupational lung disease
• Long-term sequelae of thoracic trauma/chest wall injury
• Pneumonia
• Pulmonary embolism
• Tuberculosis and other pulmonary infections

Exclusions include lung cancer cases, failure to provide breathylser specimen cases, sleep/ventilation related issues and patients under 16 years old.
