Dr Anoop Mistry is a Consultant Immunologist and lead clinician for the Clinical Immunology department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

He has a particular interest in the genetics of primary immunodeficiency, penicillin allergy and leadership and mentoring of resident doctors.

Dr Mistry has expertise overseeing the clinical care of patients with variety of allergy related conditions including drug allergy, food allergy, aeroallergy and chronic urticaria.  Additionally, patients with primary and secondary immunodeficiency. This includes diagnosis, clinical treatment and monitoring of patients with CVID, combined immunodeficiency and hereditary angioedema.  

Dr Mistry supports a national service for patients with autoinflammatory disorders including familial Mediterranean fever, cryopyrin associated periodic fever syndromes and undifferentiated autoinflammatory diseases. Laboratory roles include clinical liaison and management of one of the largest immunology laboratories in the country; typical duties involve assay and service development and providing clinical insight on a wide variety of immunology-based tests.

Dr Mistry has actively sought research opportunities during his training. He has been on the designation log for several clinical studies and was the main physician seeing patients locally for a multicentre trial. Is widely published within his current role, presented posters and presented oral presentations at more regional meetings. He also attends monthly laboratory research meetings.
