He has led investigations and enforcement action relating to tall residential buildings, ensuring compliance with fire safety requirements and the absence of unsafe cladding. Where necessary, he has taken formal action under the Housing Act 2004 to address risks and non-compliance.

Shaun has successfully completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Civil Certificate and is listed on the National Register of University Certificated Expert Witnesses. He is also a full member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (MCIEH) and the Expert Witness Institute (EWI).
