Matthew Klinefelter is a delay expert and director at Planetal Limited where he leads the forensic planning and expert services.
Matthew is a seasoned delay expert, with a wealth of experience across a multitude of sectors accumulated over 17 years in construction. With previous practical experience as delivering multi-million-pound schemes, he has mainly worked in the UK but he has also been involved in projects in the Middle East, USA and Europe. With experience of packages ranging from circa £100m to £30k on projects up to £1.5bn and has operated as both a Tier 1 main contractor and as a Subcontractor.
His expertise is deeply rooted in practical on-site delivery experience, having served in pivotal managerial roles for Tier 1 Contractors and Subcontractors. This hands-on experience has been instrumental in shaping his proficiency in delay analysis, allowing him to offer a unique perspective that blends practical know-how with expert analytical skills.
Matthew has special expertise in resolving complex delay and disruption claims, a specialty where he has consistently excelled. The depth of his experience in project controls and planning has not only honed his skills in these areas but also fuelled his specialisation in delay analysis. His approach is always grounded in the reality of on-site execution, ensuring that his assessments and recommendations are both practical and implementable.
