‘Dr Alakendu Sekhar is a Consultant Neurologist with special interest in all aspects of vascular neurology & acute stroke. His work mainly involves in the outpatient consultation for all aspects of general neurological disorder including headache, blackouts & epilepsy. His specific interest within neurology is specific neurovascular diseases and acute stroke.

He also runs a specialist cerebrovascular clinic at the Walton centre which is a dedicated vascular clinic for assessment of complex neurovascular cases. He is heavily involved in hyper-acute stroke care and leads the stroke intervention at the Walton centre. The service attracts referrals from all the stroke units in the region and also outside up-to North Wales. Dr Sekhar is available for private consultation and medicolegal works outside my his NHS commitments. he is involved in the teaching of medical students and junior doctors on a regular basis.

He undertakes medicolegal works and has been instructed by a number of reputed solicitors both locally and nationally. His medicolegal interests are mainly around stroke and all aspect of vascular neurological injuries and he is now expanding on brain injury cases. He is empanelled as medicolegal expert with Re-cognition Health 77 Wimpole Street, London and takes instruction for both clinical negligence and brain injury cases.

He is available to see medicolegal clients on prior arrangements at London Clinics. Dr Sekhar also has privileges and rights at Spire Liverpool and Murrayfield hospitals for private clinical and medicolegal consultations.
