Mr. Jon Willmott

Jon is head of Hilson Moran’s Acoustics group and is responsible for the overall management of all acoustic projects being delivered from the firm’s UK and international offices. He also coordinates the acoustics team’s support for Hilson Moran’s other multidisciplinary teams.

Jon is a Chartered Engineer, a corporate member of the Institute of Acoustics and has over 19 years’ experience as an acoustic consultant gained at AECOM and Sound Research Laboratories prior to joining Hilson Moran in 2016.

He specialises in architectural and building acoustics, vibration and environmental noise. During Jon’s career he has lead the acoustic design on many high profile projects internationally including FIFA 2022, RIO 2016, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, over 50 schools and many other large architectural schemes.

-Acoustic modelling including auralisations and acoustic demonstrations

-Assessment of vibration from trains and other transportation sources

-Developing vibration mitigation systems including whole building isolation requirements
-Testing buildings including pre-completion testing to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations
