Dr Liza Stanton is a Consultant Psychiatrist based in Nottingham.
She has an excellent knowledge of psychiatry, with special interest in the assessment of victims of torture and human trafficking, sexual assault, sequelae of solitary confinement and long-term imprisonment and human rights cases. She is also able to give research based opinion on detection of deception.
Dr Stanton can also assess adult mental disorders including PTSD, depression, old age psychiatrist, anxiety disorders and dementias. Dr Stanton is a trained EMDR Therapist.
Preparation of reports as instructed, cases have included effects of prolonged segregation in prison, human trafficking, modern slavery, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, co-morbid mental disorders, substance disorders. She has experience in the assessment of alleged victims of torture in Immigration Removal Centres in the UK with preparation of reports for Home Office Tribunals for Medical Justice.
Dr Stanton can travel throughout the UK and has attended Bond Solon courses; Excellence in Report Writing in 2017 and Witness Familiarisation in 2017, Courtroom Skills, Cross Examination Day and Civil Law & Procedure in 2018 and, has trained with Medical Justice Charity in assessment of alleged victims of torture January-March 2017.
