Dr Linda Monaci has been practicing as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Neuropsychologist for over 10 years. She has experience of assessing and treating a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological problems in a variety of cultural contexts; she also has experience of working with interpreters.

Areas of Expertise: assessment of cognitive and emotional functioning using psychometric and neuropsychological objective assessments, by clinical interview and review of records.

Training

In 2001 Dr Monaci completed a 5-year Laurea specialising in Clinical Neuropsychology with 110/110 with laudem at Padua University, Italy. In 2003 she completed her professional exam to practice after having worked in clinical and research settings in Uppsala, Sweden. She then moved to the UK, where she completed a 3-year Statement of Equivalence in Clinical Psychology (University College London) and a 2-year Post-Qualification Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology (University of Glasgow). She then completed the exam of specialisation in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Division of Neuropsychology (BPS) in 2011, obtaining the highest level of qualification in clinical neuropsychology in the UK. In 2014 she completed a post-qualification research Doctorate at Essex University, which explored the validation of a new questionnaire of symptom validity. Dr Monaci has completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificates (Civil and Criminal Law) and she regularly attends CPD events relevant to her clinical practice and expert witness work.
