Mr Wilkie has 23 years fitness industry experience in the health and leisure sector, for much of this time he has been involved in vocational and academic assessment of other fitness instructors, most recently as Programme Leader for Middlesex University’s Foundation Degree in Health and Fitness.
Mr Wilkie specialises now in governance - concerned with the regulation, accreditation and continuing professional development of all types of exercise professional and educational training providers. Working for registered charity Skills Active he is now the Compliance and Standards Manager for their Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and Register of Personal Development Practitioners in Sport (RPDPS). Robert is also the public face of these registers for corporate matters, European funding bids and the Media.
Mr Wilkie provides expert opinion on questions of Best Practice and Health & Safety within the industry for employment tribunals, personal injury/fatal accident, and professional negligence.
