Caroline Powell is a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist, with over 10 years clinical experience in a short-term NHS primary care setting working dual diagnostically with substance use. Additionally she has experience as an independent counselling psychologist for 8 years working with anxiety, depression, work-related stress, anger management, age-stage transitions, retirement/redundancy, personal injury, PTSD, couples counselling and relationship issues. Ms Powell has been a trainee supervisor for 4 years and has worked on a one-to-one basis with individuals and couples with cultural differences and language barriers who have mental healthcare needs from clinics located in London during this time. Ms Powell has acted on behalf of organisations and agencies seeking comprehensive assessments, psychological reports and short-term psychological therapy for their clients on behalf of consultant psychiatrists, insurers, solicitors and their appointed agents. Ms Powell always observes and implements the Codes of Practice and Ethics of the British Psychological Society whilst tailoring counselling skills and techniques to benefit the needs of individuals and couples.
