Mr Sanjeev Madan

Mr Sanjeev Madan is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sheffield Children's Hospital, and Doncaster Teaching Hospitals. He was first appointed as a Consultant in 2004 and has a vast experience of Orthopaedics. With specific interest in; trauma, complex limb reconstruction using circular frames, hip, knee, foot and ankle, paediatric orthopaedics, spine and lower back problems. Mr Madan has over 12 years expert witness experience in medico legal and clinical negligence cases. His split of work is 85% claimant, 5% defendant with 10% as a single joint expert. He undertakes over 700 reports per year and average turnaround time is 2-3 weeks for appointments and 10 days for report preparation. Mr Madan has undertaken specialist expert witness training with Professional solutions and UKIM. Awarded the Kaufmann gold medal award for research from NYU in 2002, and best paper award at Nordic Spinal Society and British Scoliosis Society 1998.
He is a co-organiser of the prestigious Sheffield Chesterfield FRCS Orth national course.
He is the fellow of several Societies (BOA, ISHA, BLRS, BOFAS, BSCOS, Skeletal Dysplasia, HJD-NYU, OUBS, ILM). He is a Consultant Advisor to the Courts and Solicitors on medico-legal issues.
