Retired Consultant Urogynaecologist (Sub-specialist), previously at St Michael's hospital, Bristol, from July 2016, having been a consultant at Liverpool Women's Hospital for 15 years prior to that. Specialising in my day-to-day work in repeat prolapse and incontinence surgery, third-degree tears and perineal problems, and labial reduction advice. Specialised in complex surgical procedures, including pelvic floor repairs with suspension and incontinence procedures combined in one patient. I have an interest in chronic perineal/pudendal pain
I have published widely to my peers and have experience in writing guidelines and consent forms and performing Health Care Commission investigations through my remit as a committee member for the British Society of Urogynaecology, as well as sitting on two NICE GDGs for female incontinence and prolapse.
I have received Expert Witness training, undertake clinical negligence work for both Claimant and Defendant, with a defence/claimant split of approximately 40/60 split (with some Joint instructions) and complete 24 reports per year at present.
I require a Word version of the chronology before I can begin work on the report. My fee is £400 per hour, with a standard turnaround time of six weeks. An invoice will be emailed at the same time as the Medical Report, and clients are seen at at consulting rooms in Taunton. Payment is due within 30 days of provision of the report, and a signed hard copy will be posted within seven days of receipt of payment. I have completed formal expert witness training (report writing, expert duties, cross‑examination techniques and courtroom skills) and am ICO registered and fully compliant with GDPR.
