I am an independent forensic consultant specialising in the forensic analysis of speech and language samples. I have been consulted in an average of 50 cases a year for the past 10 years. I work for the Prosecution and the Defence in approximately equal measure.
I have a PhD in Phonetics from London University, and also have degrees from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Oxford. I held lecturing posts at University College London and the University of Central England in Birmingham before entering full-time forensic practice in 1998.
I am a member of the International Association for Forensic Phonetics and Acoustics, and am active in research in areas related to my forensic casework.
My areas of expertise include speaker comparison (voice analysis) and decoding and transcribing complex recordings.
