Dr Den has carried out corrective laser eye surgery (LASIK) since it was recognised, over a decade ago, as the preferred means of treating refractive error. He trained at Sydney Eye Hospital, Sydney University, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and also in Boston Massachusetts, under Dr Steven Slade (recognised internationally as a pioneer in the LASIK procedure). Whilst his surgical procedures are performed at the Sydney Eye Specialist Centre (one of the best-equipped refractive surgical facilities in Australia), Dr Den provides all pre-operative and post-operative care in the small and personalised environment of his own facility, The Ashfield Eye Clinic. Dr Den also carries out cataract, corneal and eyelid surgery.
