I obtained a First Class Honours degree form the School of Biological Sciences and, after a short period of work, embarked on PhD studies which I completed in 3 years. In the course of the last 10 years I have utilised a wide variety of cell biology and molecular biology techniques and developed mutation assays as part of my PhD research. Since then I have increased my knowledge of molecular biology in both research and, more recently, in Forensic Science. Some of my laboratory skills are identified below: Microinjection of cells, oocytes, Histological techniques, Extraction and Cloning of DNA, Tissue culture and viruses.
