Professor of Gastrointestinal Pathology and Consultant Histopathologist specialising in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. I am experienced in all aspects of gastrointestinal pathology but have clinical and research interests in diseases of the oesophagus and stomach, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal tumours and pre-neoplastic conditions of the gut.
I have comprehensive experience in medico-legal work relating to the pathology of gastroenterological diseases, both for plaintiffs and for defence, especially in assessing the appropriateness of pathological diagnoses. My research interests ensure an especial expertise in gastrointestinal tumour growth, staging and prognosis.
