Mr Ian Thompson has 22 years consultancy experience with Laurence Gould, having previously worked for an accountancy practice and managed a large arable farming unit in North East Scotland. He has a range of farm management clients across all sectors of the industry in Scotland and Northern England.
He leads the delivery of food processing grant applications for the company in Scotland, completes planning application reviews for a number of Scottish Councils. He is accredited to provide advice to farmers under the SGRPID funded ILMP and has successfully obtained grant funding for farmers and agri-businesses under the SRDP. Ian provides advice to fruit and vegetable grower co-operatives on structure, governance, operation and investment planning and has recently completed an expert witness case in the pig sector.
He completes expert witness reports across a range of issues to identify both liability and quantum.
