Mr Wilson is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon. His special interests is sarcoma and head and neck surgery. He manages the soft tissue sarcoma service at North Bristol NHS trust and is the lead sarcoma surgeon and MDT lead surgeon.
Sarcoma management is his core sub-specialty, including soft tissue reconstructions. Mr Wilson has performed many free flap reconstructions for sarcoma, head and neck, and upper limb abnormalities and has operated on many sarcomas and deep soft tissue tumours. Many of these required complex excisions and reconstructions.
He also has experience in the head and neck surgery with 8 years experience in maxillofacial surgery, including head and neck oncology.
Throughout his career he has taken an active interest in breast surgery. Presented and published on reconstruction, aesthetic surgery and sarcoma. As well as pursuing excellence in clinical activities, Mr Wilson has a keen interest in teaching, and is actively involved in International facial reconstruction in Africa.
His private practice over the last 10 years encompasses nose, breast, body and facial aesthetic surgery. He regularly attends national and international meetings on aesthetic surgery. He has aesthetic affiliations to BAPRAS, BAAPS, ASPS, ISPAS and the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe(RSE).
